Kitchen remodeling

The kitchen is the most-used room in the house and the most complicated one to rebuild — cabinets, counters, electrical, plumbing, venting, drywall, and paint all landing in the same footprint. That's exactly why it's our core trade.

What a THL kitchen includes.

Every kitchen gets a line-item written scope before work starts. Depending on your project, that scope can cover:

  • Demolition and haul-off of the existing kitchen
  • Layout changes — walls, openings, and pass-throughs
  • Cabinet supply and installation, including fillers, panels, and crown
  • Countertops and tile backsplash
  • Electrical: lighting plans, recessed cans, under-cabinet, appliance circuits (licensed sub)
  • Plumbing: sinks, faucets, dishwasher and range hookups (licensed sub)
  • Range hood and microwave venting to the exterior
  • Drywall, texture matching, and paint
  • Flooring and trim to close the room out
Straight answerMost full kitchen remodels in our market land between the cost of a good used car and a new one — the spread depends on cabinets, counters, and how much the layout moves. We'll give you a real number for your kitchen, in writing, for free.

Kitchen questions we get.

Do I need a permit for a kitchen remodel?
Usually yes, once electrical or plumbing moves — which is most kitchens. We handle the permit process with the city or county as part of the job, and it appears as its own line on your estimate, not a surprise.
Can I stay in the house during the remodel?
Almost everyone does. We contain the work area, keep a path clear, and help you set up a temporary kitchen corner. You'll live without a sink for a stretch — we'll tell you exactly which stretch before we start.
Do you supply cabinets or do I buy them?
Either works. We can supply and install, or install cabinets you've purchased. If you buy your own, we'll review the order against the measured layout before you place it — cabinet ordering mistakes are the most expensive kind.
Is the estimate really free?
Yes — the site visit, the measurements, and the written line-item estimate cost you nothing and are good for 30 days. If the numbers work, great. If not, you've lost nothing but an hour.
